Position Title: Vice President of Field Sales

SUMMARY OF POSITION:        

The Vice President of Field Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth opportunities in all local office locations across the enterprise. This position works directly with the local office management to design and implement a sales strategy for each market that includes optimizing all relevant channel partners to drive market share growth. In addition, a key responsibility of this position is to provide sales management support by introducing best practices and monitoring the day to day execution of the strategy, working directly with all sales staff in the Company's offices to enhance selling skills and drive results. This is a leadership role that requires the ability to work within a matrix model with significant influential skills in order to achieve desired results

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Business Planning & Market Development

  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations leadership to define their overall business plans for the market.
  • Develop a local marketing plan by office, outlining specific channel targets and recommended engagement strategies to enhance market share.
  • Work with the  AlliedPRA Marketing team to design and implement outbound marketing campaigns that help generate opportunities while elevating and enhancing the brand.
  • Develop success metrics around local call schedules within the market to provide appropriate coverage for growth.
  • Work with company leadership to set appropriate parameters around any new hotel agreements to maximize profitability.

  

Sales Management

  • Collaborate with local leadership to hire, develop, motivate and mentor NSM's and Sales Directors  in local offices.
  • Work with the executive leadership team to set quotas and hold individuals accountable for their achievement.
  • Conduct sales planning and forecasting activity, manage sales processes and administration utilizing SalesForce.
  • Provide clear and consistent direction on pipeline build and management to ensure accuracy in forecast for local office.
  • Manage all sales training efforts to ensure consistency and relevance.
  • Provide strategic direction on large scale proposals.
  • Work with salespeople to prepare and present clear, compelling and persuasive sales presentations.
  • Ensure that salespeople effectively present and demonstrate APRA's value proposition and core capabilities to our clients.

 

Organizational Leadership                  

  • Provide organizational leadership and guidance through mentoring and developing the sales team at the local level.
  • Define and support appropriate career path development for sales team members to attract, retain and motivate top talent.
  • Establish scheduled site visits to each location on a periodic basis to ensure that sales staff are clear on strategy and will be successful in achieving revenue targets.
  • Utilize appropriate technologies to communicate promptly and coordinate activities throughout the country.
  • Assist in designing and implementing incentive plans that reward sales achievement while aligning to company goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrate examples of outstanding leadership and customer relationship management.  

  

QUALIFICATIONS

    • 7-10 years of sales management experience leading a geographically dispersed sales team
    • 5+ years experience building, scaling and managing sales teams
    • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding goals
    • Experience hiring, coaching and mentoring top sales talent
    • In-depth knowledge of the business events industry
    • Experience with sales planning and forecasting with strong financial acumen
    • Strong presentation skills
    • BA/BS degree; sales/marketing/business preferred
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to travel independtly, as a positive and professional representative of the Company
