Position Title: Global Sales Director

Classification: Exempt

Reports to: Executive Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing



As a member of the Global Sales Team, the Global Sales Director is responsible for expanding client relationship opportunities, managing key accounts, and feeding substantial pieces of business to the Company's offices. Representing each of the Company's 26+ offices within the United States, the Global Sales Director leads the customer account planning cycle, ensures assigned customers' needs and expectations are met by the Company, and coordinates with local destination offices to drive revenue for the Company and exceed sales goals. Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing, this position is critical in developing new revenue streams for AlliedPRA through building relationships appropriate individuals in key organizations.



  • Increase business leads in the corporate & Meetings, Incentive, Convention, and Events (MICE) space.
  • Generate, qualify, and pass on leads to appropriate office in the AlliedPRA network of offices.
  • Meet and exceed annual sales goals and gross profit plans with the aid of marketing strategies and trend analysis.
  • Remain engaged with General Managers, Directors of Sales, National Sales Managers, as well as Experience Designers and
  • Event Producers within AlliedPRA to support strong relationships in the Company.
  • Maintain general knowledge of the many destinations in the AlliedPRA network.
  • Attend meetings, tradeshows, and other events, representing AlliedPRA as a top DMC.
  • Managed key accounts and build strong relationships with key organizations.
  • Identify and develop new approaches to key accounts, and firmly establish AlliedPRA as the premier DMC solution.
  • Work in concert with the Director of Marketing & Public Relations to develop and create marketing strategies.
  • Anticipate and proactively address with issues as they arise.
  • Continuously develop personal knowledge of AlliedPRA's offerings as well as trends within the DMC industry.
  • Promote the mission and values of AlliedPRA in order to build a add strength and value the AlliedPRA brand.


  • Five or more years experience in sales, preferably in a DMC, incentive travel, event management or related field. Experience and knowledge of the corporate events industry is required.
  • B.S. / B.A. in Business Management, Marketing or related degree.
  • Personal commitment to organizational excellence, displays honesty, integrity, and a strong sense of ethics.
  • Must be computer numerate and IT literate.
  • Must be an expert communicator in all forms.
  • Must have strong influencing skills, networking skills and relationship management skills.
  • Must be committed to continuous development and improvement.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment or work independently, as team needs dictate.
  • Ability to manage multiple details and programs.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret client proposal requirements, RFPs, contracts, financial reports, and other legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, supplier/partners, and co-workers.
  • Ability to prepare reports, write business correspondence, and develop and write proposals and sales reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, supplier/partners, and hoteliers.
  • Ability to calculate program costs, percentages, discounts, profit margins, and perform other mathematical requirements involved in a proposal.
  • Ability to prepare sales reports, using complex calculations, for sales meetings and client presentations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to anticipate and deal with problems involving few concrete variables in a typical office situation.

  • Must possess the physical attributes required to operate a motor vehicle, in accordance with the requirements established by the California DMV.


This individual must possess the ability to represent the Company while traveling independently. Additional requirements are as follows:

  • Must be able to travel frequently by way of air, rail, vehicle, or other modality as required.
  • Must be able to travel independently, acting as a brand ambassador and representing AlliedPRA.
  • Must have a current, valid driver's license for the state in which the employee performs his or her driving duties.
  • Must maintain a clean driving record, i.e., must remain insurable under our company's liability insurance policy.
