Position Title: Creative Director        

Classification: Exempt




Will fill an inaugural position at APRA which affords enormous professional and personal growth opportunity in a marketleading and fast-paced firm in the Business Events industry. Will guide and heavily influence all creative delivery of our work at APRA, with specific responsibility for the creative elements of significant engagements across the business. Will take on a formative leadership role of the entire Creative function, and at the same time stay close to the creative output through concept and idea generation on a significant project level.



  • Craft a creative vision and process for the APRA system to follow in each engagement - from concept to completion
  • Champion creative strategies and solutions for the business as a member of the senior management team
  • Build an APRA creative team over time to serve the broader needs of the APRA brand and our clients.
  • Align our creative with our clients' business needs and objectives
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary project teams global/local sales, marketing, operations, IT and other areas
  • Uphold APRA brand standards through work with the marketing and sales teams at APRA
  • Oversee deliverables, timelines and budgets relevant to the creative function of APRA
  • Review creative output, troubleshoot and provide feedback to creative partners and teams


REQUIREMENTS Professional Experience and Skills

  • Experience and knowledge of the corporate events industry is a key prerequisite for this position; at least five to eight years of relevant work experience is required.
  • A strong understanding of industry trends and creative tools.
  • Experience performing or managing a range of creative positions, such as graphic designer, art director, and/or copy writer.
  • Knowledge of the business side of creative direction.
  • Stellar communication, presentation, problem-solving and project-management skills.
  • Proven ability to inspire creativity and work well with different personality types while balancing the needs of various projects.
  • Personal commitment to organizational excellence, displays honesty, integrity, and a strong sense of ethics.
  • Must be computer numerate and IT literate.
  • Must be committed to continuous development and improvement.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment or work independently, as team needs dictate.

  • Must possess the physical attributes required to operate a motor vehicle, in accordance with the requirements established by the California DMV.



The Creative Director is required to be available to travel to any of the Company's offices. Appropriately, this individual must possess the ability to travel throughout the United States, with potential for foreign travel. Further, this individual must possess the ability to represent the Company while traveling independently. Additional requirements are as follows:  

  • Must be able to travel frequently by way of air, rail, vehicle, or other modality as required.
  • Must be able to travel independently, acting as a brand ambassador and representing AlliedPRA.
  • Must have a current, valid driver's license for the state in which the employee performs his or her driving duties.
  • Must maintain a clean driving record, i.e., must remain insurable under our company's liability insurance policy.
